Ethernet Error (TCPP0007): The IP address '...' of device '...' lies below the network's start address '...'.

The IP address of each device in the project must be within the IP range set in the properties of the 'Project' node.

To fix this error, you can either adapt the IP address of the device mentioned in the error message or the IP range of the project.

Remedy possibility 1: Adapt the IP address of the suspected device

  1. Determine the project IP settings of the network specified in the editor 'Project > Settings | IP range', if unknown.
  2. Double-click the error message to directly jump to the suspected IP address specification.
  3. Enter an IP address within the range determined in step 1. Confirm the setting with <Enter>.

Alternative: IP address modification via 'Online Controllers' editor:
When inserting a controller or bus device to the project by scanning the network, the IP address is read from the device. It can be modified directly in the corresponding 'Online Controllers' editor.

Remedy possibility 2: Adapt the IP settings (IP range) of the project

  1. Double-click the 'Project' node in the PLANT and open the 'Settings' editor.

    Alternative: For many errors which refer to the project IP range, double-clicking the error message directly opens the 'Settings' editor.

  2. Specify/correct the suspected 'IP range' setting(s) and confirm each entry with <Enter>.

This error can only occur if 'IP address assignment method' is set to 'manual' in the device settings and if the automatically entered value derived from the network IP settings ('Project' settings) has been deleted/modified.
