Configuration Error (PLCN0051): The remote variable identifier format '' is invalid.

The mapping of an OPC UA client variable to an OPC UA server variable contains an invalid or undefined remote variable identifier. The remote variable identifier corresponds to the type of the identifier of the NodeId (the NodeId is used to uniquely identify the node in the address space of the OPC UA Server).

Remedy

  1. Double-click the error message to open the 'Client Connections' editor (editor of the 'OPC UA' PLANT node). The editor is used to map the OPC UA client variables to the OPC UA server variables.
  2. For the variable reporting the error, enter a valid variable identifier in the 'Remote variable identifier' column.
