Removing Devices from the PLANT
To remove an element from the PLANT and thus from the project, proceed as follows:
- In the PLANT, select the element to be deleted and press <Del> or select 'Delete' from the context menu.Or:
- Delete the devices in the station editor ('Device List'/'Module List') of
Profinet controller/devices or the Axioline F controller. Proceed as follows:
- Double-click the parent tree node of the element to be deleted and open its station editor.
- In the station editor, select the table row with the element you want to delete and press <Del>.
Observe the following when deleting elements.
- When deleting a parent element with contained child elements, these child elements are deleted, too.
- Deleted non-safety-related elements are moved to the RECYCLE BIN (if enabled in the 'Extras > Options' dialog under the 'Tool | Recycle Bin' category). You can restore elements from the bin using the context menu item 'Restore' or the following RECYCLE BIN icon.
- If you are deleting a safety-related device but you are not logged on to the Safety-related Area, you first have to enter the password for accessing the Safety-related Area. Refer to the topic "Safety-Related Area with Password Protection" for details.
- Safety-related devices are not moved to the RECYCLE BIN. Deleting means removing them permanently from the PLANT.
