 | A button is used to trigger an event. The button has the two states "Pressed" and "Not pressed". A button can change and reflect the value of a Boolean variable. The event assigned to the button is triggered by clicking on the button or using the keyboard. You can use a button, for example, to acknowledge a message or warning, to navigate between HMI pages, to stop/start process execution. The value that corresponds to the pressed state can be defined by checking/unchecking the 'Value when Pressed' checkbox under the 'Behavior' category. The button text is entered under the 'Text' category or directly in the HMI page (after double-clicking the object). The format of the text such as the font properties, text alignment, text color, etc. is edited under the 'Text' category via the 'Format' property. Left-clicking the 'Format' entry shows the individual properties. If the 'Text', 'Text When Down' or 'Text list' dynamic is set for the object, the static 'Text' and 'Text When Down' settings on the standard tab in the properties window are ignored. |
