Inconsistent Library ID

Each library can be identified by its library ID. When opening a project, PLCnext Engineer verifies the ID of each included library by comparing the IDs stored in the project with IDs in the library files.

Note
On re-releasing a library in PLCnext Engineer, you can specify in the export dialog whether the new library version shall have the same ID or a new one (checkbox 'Create new library ID').
The library ID is different from the signature checksum. The checksum is always recalculated each time a library is released - independently of the setting for the checkbox 'Create new library ID'.

If the library file has a different library ID as stored in the project, it is no longer valid in the current project and an error icon appears at the 'Libraries' folder:

By default, the library content is not loaded and the contained elements cannot be used in the project.
You can accept the modified library in PLCnext Engineer in order to keep on using it in the current project: Right-click the respective library node and select 'Accept Library' from the context menu.
