Topology Diagnosis (EtherCAT)
If the connected network differs from the EtherCAT configuration in your engineering solution, a corresponding message appears as desktop notification in PLCnext Engineer when opening the 'Online Function' editor via the EtherCAT master node.
Using the 'Mismatch Analyzer', you can examine the differences between the scanned topology and the topology configured in the PLANT and correct topology errors. This editor tab is only available for the EtherCAT master (i.e., the master must be selected in the tree on the left).
In the tree on the left, differing slave devices are marked with a red LED-like icon. In the 'Mismatch Analyzer' tab, these differing slaves are also marked red.
To refresh the display by performing another online bus scan, click the 'Refresh' icon above the tree view.
To model the topology detected in the network in the engineering project, you can perform an EtherCAT Bus Scan (context menu command on the EtherCAT master node in the PLANT).

Alternatively, you can also insert the devices via the station editors, using the device list in the 'Mismatch Analyzer' as a guide.
