Reading Profinet I/O Modules

For a network scan as described below, it is not necessary to manually establish a communication connection before the scan. This is done automatically by PLCnext Engineer. |
When scanning the network for Profinet devices, all available I/O modules connected to this device are inserted into the PLANT together with the device. If further I/O modules are added later, these modules can be added to the project as follows:
Right-click the Profinet device node in the PLANT and select 'Read Profinet Modules' from the context menu. Found modules are inserted in the PLANT under the device node as well as in the tabular 'Module List' editor of the device.
