'Device List' Editor (EtherCAT Master)

This help topic describes the 'Device List' editor of the 'EtherCAT' PLANT node (which represents the EtherCAT Master). The 'Device List' is also referred to as station editor. This tabular editor contains all devices which have been scanned or added under the 'EtherCAT' node. You can add EtherCAT slave devices here by clicking on an empty row into the 'Name' field and selecting a device using the role picker. Alternatively, you can scan the network for EtherCAT devices by right-clicking the 'EtherCAT' node and selecting the context menu item 'EtherCAT bus scan'.

| # | Number of the EtherCAT slave device in the network. The number of lines (i.e., connectable devices) in the table depends on the controller type (that is to say, on the number of connectable EtherCAT slave devices the Master supports). |
| Type | Type of the already inserted EtherCAT slave device.To add a further device, left-click into a field showing the text 'Select type here' or move the table cursor using the arrow keys to this table field and press <Enter>. The Role Picker appears for selecting devices. |
