'Settings' Editor (EtherCAT Axioline Module)

This help topic describes the 'Settings' editor of an EtherCAT Axioline module. EtherCAT Axioline modules are child elements of an EtherCAT Axioline bus coupler slave. On the left side on the 'Settings' page, several editor categories can be selected. These are described below in detail.

'All'

After selecting the 'All' category, the settings that are available in each category are visible on one page.

'Identity'

ParameterDescription
Product Name, Model Code, Version etc.Identification data of the I/O module. The data is read from description file of the device.
FunctionOptional function description of the module.

If the module is linked to a variable (specified in the 'Settings' editor), the following applies: After entering text, a message dialog appears informing you that the module name has been changed. Clicking 'Yes' in this dialog performs a refactoring which adapts the module name and all related paths/references to it within the entire project.

The 'Function' text is then shown in the motion module node name (preceding the type) in the PLANT.

Max. string length: 32 characters
LocationInstallation location of the module.

If no 'Function' is specified, the following applies:
