Adding Comments

Comments allow you to add notes within the topology. A comment can be added at any place in the topology view or attached to an object.

Comment operations

Operation Procedure

Add comment at free position Right-click in the topology view and select 'Insert Element > Comment' from the context menu.

Add comment for an object Select the 'Insert Attached Comment' command from the object's context menu. By default, the comment is attached at the bottom right of the object.

Add comment to a group Right-click the comment and select 'Add object(s) to group > GroupName'.

Note
The submenu of the 'Add object(s) to group' menu provides the existing object groups.

Edit a comment Click on the comment, enter the text (to create a new line within the comment, press <Shift>+<Enter>) and confirm with <Enter> or click outside the comment box.

Edit the font settings Right-click the comment and select 'Edit Font'. In the 'Edit Font' dialog choose the font family, size, color, and style.

Move and resize a comment Click and drag the comment box to move it to the desired position. When moving an object with an attached comment, the comment is moved correspondingly.
To resize the comment box, click and drag any of the corners or edges.

Delete a comment Click the comment box and press <Del> or select 'Delete' from its context menu.
