The following information refers to a specific, typical device type. Your screen may differ.
This help topic describes the 'Settings' editor of the 'Safety PLC' PLANT node.
| Note
To be able to edit safety-related data, you have to be logged on to the Safety-related Area. Refer to the topic "Safety-Related Area with Password Protection" for details. |
On the left side on the 'Settings' page, several editor categories can be selected. These are described below in detail.
This topic contains the following sections:
- 'All'
- 'Safety controller'
- 'Profisafe - *** diagnostic variables (4 categories)'
- 'FSoE - device diagnostic variables'
- 'FSoE - summarizing diagnostic variables'
- 'Profile'
'All'
After selecting the 'All' category, the settings that are available in each category are visible on one page.
'Safety controller'
This page displays the version number of the safety controller.
'Profisafe - *** diagnostic variables (4 categories)'
On these pages you can specify which diagnostic variables for monitoring and evaluating Profisafe devices and the Profisafe communication are to be created. For that purpose, select 'Create' from the list box of the desired variable.
| Further Info
Details can be found in the topic "Profisafe Communication/F-Device State Diagnostics". |
'FSoE - device diagnostic variables'
On this page you can specify which device diagnostic variables for monitoring and evaluating FSoE devices in your safety application are to be created. For that purpose, select 'Create' from the list box of each desired variable.
FSoE - device diagnostic variables are available for each configured FSoE slave. Such device-related system variables contain the slave address (nnnn) of the affected device in the variable name: FSOE_MSTR_ADDR_[nnnn]_*.

Details can be found in the help topics "Diagnostic FSoE system variables - Enabling the Creation" and "FSoE Communication/Device State Diagnostics". |
'FSoE - summarizing diagnostic variables'
On this page you can specify which summarizing diagnostic variables for monitoring and evaluating FSoE devices in your safety application are to be created. For that purpose, select 'Create' from the list box of each desired variable.
FSoE - summarizing diagnostic variables are global system variables for FSoE slaves which summarize all configured FSoE slaves. A global system variable is set to TRUE, if the respective condition applies to at least one configured FSoE slave. The error remains until all slaves reset their error state. Via the global variable, all slave errors can be acknowledged at once.
